Monday mowing ...

An increase in staff today,so nabbed the chance to get some cattle work done.
Brought in the 6 cows out the banking field behind the steading so that I was able to bring in the spring calving cows and calves from the field beyond . Took out the 3 that are still to calve,if they are in calf.
Then did the rest of the cows with fly repellent pour on,drew out a 14 year old cow and her calf that's not getting bulled again and put the older limousin bull plus a younger one out with them and took them back to their fields. Then went to the bull field and managed to get the Angus bull out onto the road and walk him home. Took him in the trailer to meet his usual ladies next door.
Once all that was done, hitched up the mower and headed off down the road to cut a field of grass. The forecast is not brilliant,but it's now July ,and we need to make a start.
Had it all cut and back up the road by half 5 ,so took the chance to cut the front lawn, ( with a slightly smaller mower !)
