Arrived!

This sixteen year old deserves to look pleased with herself - Alice made the journey from Sevenoaks to Darlington, which includes two London station changes and making sure she got the right train at Kings Cross, quite independently. She is used to using trains in and out of London but this journey was something new. It was lovely to meet her at Darlington station and bring her here.

So we have a visitor for the week and I’m sure we’re going to have some fine adventures. She loves having the guest suite all to herself - her own bathroom!!

(She wasn’t travelling quite this light - Grandad had taken her other bag as she came from the train.)
