“Gods of Tennis”….

Having recently watched the Tv programmes the ‘Gods of Tennis’ I looked properly at these photos today which are on the wall of my Health Club. ( not a very good photo due to lights and reflections) I All the photos were taken in 1980’s/ 1990’s when many players stayed at the Lensbury Club which was then a club for people who worked for Shell. The players practised on the many grass courts before Wimbledon and some stayed there too. ……John Lloyd, Steffi Graf, Boris Becker, Bjorn Borg, Jimmy Connors, Chris Evert and Vitas Guerlitas. The central photo shows Bjorn Borg presenting a racket to the club. Many of the meeting rooms in the Conference Centre are named after tennis players eg the Lloyd Room and there are a lot of tennis rackets from players of that era displayed on one of the staircases. 

After going for a swim another day at home doing admin and avoiding the rain.
Very chilly…only 15C outside.
