Souvenirs from Alderney!

Today we returned home and no problems with our flight this time. It arrived 10 minutes early at Southampton airport and as we were the only plane landing  ( and it only has 18 passengers) we were out of the airport and on the road in less than half an hour! Flying on a small plane like this and for such a short trip is so nice and we got good views over the Isle of Wight etc too.

I usually try and support the local economy by buying a few things while on holiday but not really many shops on Alderney or anything we wanted. So we supported the Alderney Wildlife  Trust by going on a boat trip, a donation and buying the pins of puffins and gannets which we saw on the trip…these are for our twin grandchildren to put in their new trinkets musical boxes.

The other object with the blonde hedgehog on it was a quick impulse buy at the airport…I bought 4 as only £1 each and made by a local person. Can anyone guess what it is?! Answers tomorrow.

We were back home by lunchtime and our friend who had Libby to stay  while we were away delivered her home, so good to see her again and she seemed pleased to see us too. We need to repay the favour and have her poodle to stay. The two dogs don’t really take much notice of each other but at least they don’t argue!

Now to catch up on the tennis.
