2023 Tuesday — The Cayucos Parade
God bless America! This is hands-down the biggest event of the year in our little coastal town. The population of this town increases from 3,102 to 30,000+ for the 4th of July parade.
This is not the Rose Parade; not one marching band! This is a homespun, funky, one-horse town parade with roller skaters and dancers, and gosh is it fun. The people laugh, cheer, hoop & holler, shed a tear or two, and most of all, they celebrate America! And they honor the flag.
This is a happy place to be and I am so glad we are here for this fun event. AND I’m included in my own collage.
From California’s Central Coast,
Rosie (& Mr. Fun), aka Carol
and Chloe & Mitzi too!
