Kalsoy

We got up early to catch the express bus to Klaksvik - via the jellyfish roundabout, the only sub-sea roundabout in the world - and got the ferry to Kalsoy which is very narrow, and the steepest of the inhabited islands.
There we took the bus to Trøllanes and walked up to the famous Kallur Lighthouse. The views are quite spectacular. The sheer face of Mount Borgarin is in the background and you can see the cliffs of the neighbouring island. A couple of spurs provide good viewpoints. It is also where the famous scene where James Bond dies was filmed, and there is a headstone there.
Back in Trøllanes, SparseRunner decided to walk to the next village Mikladalur. There was a sign explaining that it was really steep, narrow and exposed, so I decided against it and joined him by bus instead. Mikladalur has a legend of a Selkie woman captured by a local man.... It doesn't end well.
We walked around the village, until it was time for the bus back to Klaksvik. There, I went to chat to some people at the opulent boathouse, and we had a lovely meal before going back to Tórshavn.
