Box Tree Moth

A trip to the hairdresser this morning and got value for money.

Home, I walked around the garden and was bombed by this beautiful moth, which then went to hide under a clematis.  Having read up on it, I discovered to my dismay that it’s a pest and can destroy box.

Having checked the box in the back garden I found it has been well and truly damaged by its caterpillars, which I’ve yet to find.  Although they’ve possibly all metamorphosed.

This afternoon JJ found a lovely little Vapourer moth caterpillars hiding in the scabious (see extra).

I am now engrossed in the Medvedev/Eubanks match.s
