It’s Still Rock And Roll To Me

I went to the gym this morning and overheard two of the trainers having an in depth discussion about vacuum cleaners.
I pointed out it was quite sad that, at twice their age, I was the one playing a gig tonight whilst they were getting excited about a crevice nozzle! Surely they should be planning a weekend of partying!
But no, vacuum cleaners it was, and I’m afraid I did briefly get sucked into the discussion when comparing Shark with Dyson!
Having said all that, I should have been learning a couple of new songs for tonight, but got distracted by my snazzy new socks - a bargain from the M&S Outlet at Cheshire Oaks which we visited yesterday. Maybe I’m not as rock’n’roll as I thought if I get more excited by socks than by learning “Sex on Fire” by Kings of Leon.
Long discussion this afternoon with the Geriatric Care Team in Chester. It seems that mum has popped up on their radar and I am named as next of kin - would have been nice if she’d told me she was going to give them my name! They’re going to see if they can do anything to help with her memory. I gave them plenty of background info and wished them luck! They said they will update me next month - I’ll be interested to hear their findings.
Anyway, time to slip my new socks into my blue suede shoes and start getting ready for tonight’s musical shenanigans.
