Living In A Material World
As the weather was still a bit iffy this afternoon, we decided to stay in and tackle the loft, with a view to getting stuff off the floor and on to shelves, at the very least. Maybe even get some things out of the house - either to the car boot pile, or into the bin.
When I took the photo, we had just brought down all the material we could find up there. Some was actually from when we’d cleared Mrs C’s mother’s house about six years ago, so it was probably time to decide what to do with it - if anything.
In the end, we only had one box of fabric to go back in the loft - and a promise that I could have a shirt made out of some psychedelic sixties fabric we found. And that’s fabric actually from the sixties, so I’ll have a shirt as old as I am.
The good news is that a big box of rubbish went in the bin and three boxes of assorted crafting bits and material are in the car boot pile. All we need now is a dry Sunday so we can actually do a car boot sale!
