Purple Fields o Toab
A chilly cloudy morning. It cleared by lunchtime, with a sunny afternoon and evening. Slightly warmer, but a chilly northerly wind.
Another early shift in the airport. A quieter day of passengers, and most flights in and out on time. Popped by Laura's on my way home for a quick cuppa. Walkies with Sammy, and nipped along Madeline's. Working in the shop this evening, and a really busy night. Feet up now.
I was filling up my car at lunchtime, and admiring the sunny afternoon. As I glanced over the scenery, I spotted a beautiful purple field and had to go investigate what it was. First thought was a field of lavender, but that really doesn't grow in abundance here. My plant app identified it as fiddleneck, still non the wiser, a beautiful flower and the bees were loving it. Some disused croft land would look fantastic with fields like this across Shetland. Taken at Toab, Virkie.
