Sheepdug Trials Centenary
A dull day, with showers and a cold wind. If it wasn't for for the light night, you'd say it was January! A brief blue sky and sunshine this evening.
Up early, a morning around the house and then headed out. Picked up niece Elise, and took her down to Laura's. A cuppa and then took Shaun down to the airport with me. A late shift on the check-in desk, and all flights in and out on time. Walkies with Sammy this evening, popped by Laura Griffiths. Feet up now.
The Shetland Sheepdog Trials Association holds it's centenary year this year. Not the best weather for the trials, but crofters, dogs and sheep all used to poor weather. It's been a long time since I last attended the event, granddad Mitchell used to take me, sadly not as big of an event as it used to be. I got to watch a few runs, some great skills from the dogs. David Murray won the open, with James Nicolson overall champ. This is Christopher Williamson (Ollaberry) with Jed. I'll maybe need to get Sammy trained up for next year. Taken at Swinister, Tingwall.
