Biking Through Town

Unfortunately this picture does not replace a thousand words—more like it needs at least some of those words to describe what’s happening. I was struck by the fact that this guy was watching something on his cell phone as he was pedaling down one of the busiest streets in town. Don’t be fooled by the 25 mph speed limit—this is a highway and as full of crazy speeding people as any other. The phone is mounted on the handlebars on his right side—it’s harder to see than I would like, but we were in the car and he was on the bike and everything was moving, and then we turned and he went on, and was he watching a movie? talking to friends? maybe navigating. I hope it was navigating, but I’ve never seen this before and I was struck by all the possibilities. I hope he gets home safely.
