Posing nicely

This isn't the most beautifully colored dragonfly but it did wait for me while I ran inside and got my camera. I took a few pictures and it flew and then came back. I kept taking pictures and getting closer to it. I love its lacy wings.
I also saw my first baby praying mantis today. I had hoped to get a picture of it but I turned my back and then it disappeared.
We spent the day watering the gardens. Dan has gotten the pump from the long pond going and we pumped water up and into the duck pool. They were very happy about that. And then we used the other pump and removed most of the water onto the gardens. Sad ducks... But tomorrow Dan will fill it again and once again they will be happy....
I am mostly packed. We will be leaving here at 6 am to get to Bangor so I can catch the bus to Boston. Then a flight to Denver. Then the drive to Laramie. Travel days are so long and tiring but I'm so excited to get back to the West.. Lots of pictures to come.
