Up with the Dandelion clock
I was up early this morning and out in garden with my cup of tea and camera close at hand because you never now what might crop up.
I had a brief glimpse of the Bullfinch yesterday and was hoping it would be back today.I saw a flutter in the field and there he was eating the dandelion seed heads. At one point his whole head was covered by one of the seed heads. This year he will not go hungry.
Such a colourful male compared to the rather dull female. They are on the amber list meaning that there has been a moderate decline in the last 25 years with less than 300 breeding pairs.
I have seen a female and there were two males this morning so hopeful they will breed.
