Beaver

Another work day for me, while the boys headed off to tour some lochs and other Scottish stuff.

The big event of the day was a trip to see the beavers introduced here a few years ago and which have been doing great work damning a stream to prevent the farmer's byre from flooding.

We had expected to sit quietly for a few hours and maybe see a glimpse of a beaver - but they put on a real show  basically from when we arrived.  This is the father - checking us out to make sure we were no risk.  Lots of good shots of the kits as well - trying to steal carrots (they put a few snacks out to encourage them to stay here) from their dad.

Amazing visit and I heartily recommend Argaty Red Kite centre for all of their wildlife trips - the guides are really knowledgeable and helpful.
