I wonder
..... if they will still be there tomorrow.
A load of washing done & pegged out early. The weather forecast does indicate a shower at 7ish, but I was up the plot by then. I fed & watered funner beans, French beans, tomatoes, courgettes, carrots, beetroot, sweetcorn & anemones. I lifted onions, leaving the brassicas I'd interplanted. Weeded. Changed the framework (rusty L shaped iron bars), then netted & pegged. Have'nt seen the pheasants for a while. Picked runner beans & yellow courgettes. Walked up to town for the paper, & groceries for Mum.
Down to CK, walked Indie, found the tiny plant I came across yesterday, can-t get a great pic of it. Bumped into 2 DWT people, same two I spoke to last week. They weren't able to identify the plant.
Back to Mum's, rain had held off so we gardened for an hour & half. Mum had a chat with Mrs Beresford, one reason for gardening out the front is that Mum gets to chat with folks. We filled the green bin. Left that outside ready for the bin men tomorrow. Home for lunchtime. Picked the washing in just in time. A heavy shower but did'nt last long. Lunch with hubby, then a quick shift around in the greenhouse to accommodate the onions.
Dropped hubby up the pub, then dropped off tinned dog meat to Mandy. She's going to see if Kevin, her recently acquired Spanish rescue dog will eat it. Collected the onions from the plot, laid them out to dry in the greenhouse.
