3 + 3 = 6 legged Rutpela maculata

aka a Longhorn beetle, spotted this morning on my walkabout with Indie.

Earlier on the plot I fed and watered all the crops as it's been exceedingly hot. I decanted the remaining comfrey tea, then cut & prepared a fresh batch. That should be enough to keep the crops going for a while, the last cut can go into the compost bins as it helps to activate the rotting process. I fixed canes for the climbing French beans growing around the vegetable spaghetti. Misted the bean flowers, & picked a tub of blueberries, plus another feed of runner beans.
Walked up to town for the paper, dropped it back home then drove to CK. Made breakfast for Mum after looking for her knickers, 6 pairs vanished. Well i know they were on the washing line yesterday so that can't be far away. in the drawer with the freshly laundered teatowels. Walked Indie in just as it was beginning to warm up so we did a lap keeping in the shade under the trees as much as possible. Back at Mums we had an icecream sat outside under the parasol, did a bit of deaadheading & watering then it was time to make Mum's lunch Spag Bol so not too much prep today. Mum enjoyed it. Left Mum with an afternoons Olympic entertainment. She like sport so would have been very happy.

yet more fantastic results for the british team. Don't think i would have liked to swim in the Seine :-(. Hope there are'nt any upset tummies tomorrow.
