LOOK WHAT THEY'RE DOING TO MY STREET!!!!!

We're in the middle of a reconstruction project in my little village starting with a new water line....that's the big blue pipe which replaces some very old cast iron pipes that are half the diameter and often break in the very cold weather we have in the winter.

They're making a big mess of what used to be my front lawn and, on top of that, the excavator was breaking branches off my Norway Spruce...so out came the chainsaw and several more branches were amputated...this is not to mention the havoc the excavator is doing to the root ball.....ARRRRRRRGH!

The whole project involves new water, sewer replacement (part of which involves digging a hole in my basement to make the sewer connection once installed...for which they will charge me $3,000), curb, gutter and a repaving.  Baring bad weather, it should be finished sometime in October.  Real inconvenient.
