Cornflower

Last autumn I planted a mix of poppy, cornflower and large daisy seeds in the patio pots along with the spring bulbs. The poppies grew well, but in the heat of June (doesn’t that seem a long time ago) they all flowered and were over quickly. This is the first cornflower (and even that is only half a flower!) and there is a solitary daisy in one of the other pots. Not quite the vibrant display buzzing with insect life that I had envisaged!

I didn’t sleep great last night, and then had a busy working day. Did manage a positive visit with J (meds apparently taken without a fuss, so maybe the carrot of the holiday is working) and a short loop line stroll this evening. So fingers crossed an early night will get me back on track.
