Last day in Tavira
We too it easy today, our last full day in Tavira. We’d intended to take the tourist train but just missed A departure time, so went back to our local square for lunch instead (extra 1) and then spent time at our hotel pool (extra 2).
On the way I couldn’t resist talking a shot of this niche high on the wall of the church in the square which is very popular worth the local pigeons.
After a bit of a siesta we headed back down to the square for our final meal. We’d had a couple of drinks a few nights ago at À Mesa restaurant and had noticed plates of beautiful-looking desserts being served to diners there. We decided on the spot to book a table for tonight’s farewell meal. It was very much a fine dining experience, with everything fabulously well presented, but not everything we had hit the culinary spot. It was also rather ridiculously expensive.
