Witley Court

We decided to visit Witley Court this morning,  not having been there for a while.  The English Heirtage building is a very imposing seventeen century statley home that was gutted by fire and left as a shell.  The grounds are extensive and include a large lake, woodland, gardens and two fountains.  One of which activates on the hour and lasts about fifteen minutes.  Very impressive,  a popular spectator pastime.   I've blipped the  house and fountain in the past so this is a photo of one small section of the building.  .

We had a picnic lunch there then moved on to Top Barn for a coffee as the cafe is a bit inaccessible ( to me).
