Squirrely Boy (or Girl)
It rained all night into the morning. I enjoy hearing the pitter patter on the roof and awning. We sat out under the awning for morning prayers and coffee. This small squirrel let me walk pretty close to the seed strewn picnic table before it took off. I put a few seeds there every day for whatever wildlife that visits. Hubby and I took a walk after our breakfast and shower. There was only a little mist in the air by that time. We finished up the homemade pizza and taco salad ingredients. No dinner here tonight. After I cleaned up the mess, hubby decided to take his bike on one of the mountain bike trails. He said it was definitely a moderate trail with plenty of steep, root-filled and narrow sections. I read and was almost asleep when he got back. Kris wrote to say she is feeling better today. The pains got so bad yesterday, her GP sent her to the ER again. One of the larger stones is trying to pass but has caused an infection as it gets lodged along the way. I have been told it feels like labor pains. The poor kid. They did a few things to help with the pain and infection before she was discharged close to midnight. I guess it helped. It is in the mid-seventies here but the damp air makes it chilly (to me at least). My shorts and t-shirt are not enough so I am snuggled under my blanket again. It is supposed to be sunnier tomorrow. Hubby and I will try out a hiking trail. I hope to find a variety of fungi to share with you. I have seen nothing spectacular so far on our other outings. Hope you had a quiet day. Thanks for dropping by. Stay safe. “Sitting under a tree in a park in the summer, listening to birds and squirrels chirping while reading a good book is priceless.” ― Charmaine J. Forde
