The wall's end......
A fair bit of rain during the night, 10mm in the rain gauge.
Round all the cattle, managed to get another cow and calf shed out into another field. A pure Limousin cow unsettled and wandering about so obviously thinking about calving.
Left her to it just now and nipped away to Peebles Show for a while. It's on a Sunday this year instead of the second Saturday in August as yesterday was a cycling thing at Glentress thanks to a fortnight worth of lycra clad events across the central belt.
Watched some of the cattle judging, popped in to some of the trade stands ,caught up with a few folk, and the terrier got a day out as well.
This was a nice bit of dyke work. If they want a bit of practice there are plenty of slaps of fallen dyke needing repaired here before winter.
Back home by 4 pm, sorted out the load of cull cows for the market tomorrow then picked up Littlemiss on her way back from a pipe band competition at Perth. They won today, but seemingly , like at North Berwick yesterday, their arch rivals Dollar weren't there.
Only the worlds to go in Glasgow next week and that's her finished. A bit sad at the thought, but that's life I suppose.
