Chichester

I had a morning to get organised, then dashed down to the station at lunchtime to catch a train, to take me to Chichester. Where I would spend Saturday afternoon to Monday morning with my two friends who live in Orkney, who are here because they’ve been doing art courses at nearby West Dean college. Easier for me to see them here:) we met at the station and went straight to the Film Festival venue. Saw ‘Jazz on a Summers Day’ . A film of the Newport jazz festival from 1959. Including footage of Thelonius Monk, Louis Armstrong, Mahalia Jackson. Afterwards we went to Wagamama for pad Thai. Yum. I realised I hadn’t taken a photo, then saw this just off the Main Street - accompanied by some slightly banksy-looking rats, I thought it was a fine cat.
