(Aqua) plain sailing

My fellow guest and I left first thing to try and beat the traffic.

We were glad that we did as conditions on the motorway were pretty challenging with extreme heavy rainfall bringing cars to an almost standstill at one point.

Fortunately, we both made it back to our respective homes in good time and were able to decant smelly fishing stuff and the weekend’s washing from the cars.

The remainder of the afternoon was a quiet one of pottering about and a late afternoon walk between the raindrops to get some fresh air. Having taken so many photos the last few days, I realised that I hadn’t taken a single one today, so quickly snapped this bridge as a metaphor for…….somethingorother.
