August 14

Before and after shots of one of the jobs we did today. The client is an 85 year old woman, she always loved to garden. Then her husband developed dementia and he passed away a few weeks ago. Her garden has been neglected this year, she was worried one of her neighbors would call the city to complain about the weeds in her garden. I told her that I have seen worse. It took the crew about an hour and everything was cleaned up. The client was happy, she says she will recommend us to her friends.
That's 3 happy clients today. The first one, we had been there one other day and weeded and trimmed some shrubs, then went back today to edge the beds and spread some mulch. She has company arriving on Wednesday and wanted everything to look good. She's happy and we will go back to do a fall cleanup and she will become a regular client next year. The second one, also a new client wanted me to trim some hedges and other shrubs, plus clean up one garden bed. A does most of the hedge trimming, but he had asked for a couple of days off this week, so Ma and I did the trimming. I did most of it until my shoulders started complaining. There is still one hedge left to be trimmed, but I said I would send A back next week to do it. Next year it won't be so bad, because we can do it in June and again in late August.
Tomorrow we do some work for another new client, a neighbor to one that E has been working for this summer for me.
