Blanes, Day 4

Relaxed breakfast in the hotel and then our usual second cup of coffee in the sitting area just outside the restaurant. I then had just a teeny bit of work to do as I had to finish and send off my assessor’s report (for Budapest) to Cambridge. This can’t be done till the course has finished (last Friday) and the tutors have recommended final grades. I accepted the assessment knowing I’d have to do this.

A lovely walk along the front (nice wee breeze) to choose a place for lunch and we were lucky to get the last table in Es Blanc, when they had a last minute cancellation. The photos in the collage were all taken there. A lovely setting and delicious lunch - smoked salmon with little toasts to start, sea bass, then a passion fruit mousse. Bb also had the sea bass, but had a Japanese-style starter and chocolate trio dessert.

Nice wander back to the hotel and spent some time reading - really enjoying ‘Lessons in Chemistry’ - and then decided to just stay in the hotel and enjoy our sea-view balcony at night with the cheese, ham, olives, crisps, cherry tomatoes and grapes, which we’d bought the day before. All washed down with a glass of white wine.
