Tuesday: Evening Light

Really not too much to report - an office-based day working on my big thing (and, no, it’s not an escape plan!).  

The evening light in the garden was lovely today.

I was saying to K. yesterday that one of the things I’m really looking forward to whenever retirement comes is ‘proper’ reading.  I do try and read a lot and certainly regularly but it is quite often a few pre-sleep pages, rather than sitting down for a good read.  

Someone once said that there are two deeply satisfying periods for readers - when you’re young and discovering your taste and later in life when you no longer have to worry about accommodating work.
