Piel Island Ferry

A trip to Ulverston to see AJ this morning.  Good to see her and I felt good after our meeting.

From here to Roa Island with the intention of catching the Piel Island Ferry.  Sadly, the wind was too strong for the ferry today, so we were unable to take the trip to the island.  We had a look around the RNLI station there and chatted to a chap who is a guide on Piel Island and knew all the history of the place.  Very interesting.  We will have to save our visit for another day.

Home via Gleaston where we had a cup of tea in the cafe there.

Wonderful wall to wall sunshine (and a very strong wind!)
