Preparing Basil

I’ve been growing British basil in the raised beds this year, and it’s done very well. We’ve had a continuous supply of since June. Tonight we enjoyed basil in chicken and toasted vegetable wraps. The kitchen was filled with its spicy aroma as I prepared it.

A day trying to be gentle on myself. But Merlin requires walks, so I did two of those (shorter than usual), and walked to the bakery. Other than that, I’ve made hummus, and sowed some seeds in the hope of having some winter salad leaves and green leafy vegetables. We’ll see….
