We’ve gone to visit Karen’s parents
We’ve gone to visit Karen’s parents. 7 hours. Nearly one for charging. I’m sure at least one of them was for traffic jams. I’m glad we are finally here. Sam loves it here but he’s slipping on the floors. He falls. He can’t get up. He’s getting more careful about where and how he walks and hopefully tomorrow we’ll have another rug around and Tuesday we’ll have two more.
Tomorrow I will work remotely from here.
The Ukrainian air force converted some of its huge, 1960s-vintage S-200 surface-to-air missile systems into ground-attack weapons. Ukraine retired hundreds in 2013. Most sources say the range is around 250 miles. Some Russian propagandists say 370 miles.
A drone hit Soltsy-2 airbase, home to Russian Tu-22M3 bombers. These bombers keep hitting civilian areas in Ukraine. It is 415 miles away from Ukraine’s border, which may mean it was a local attack, which may scare the pants off some Russians.
Russia says that a Ukrainian drone has struck a railway station in the Kursk region. Another drone is said to have landed in the Rostov region. Russia also said it stopped a drone heading for Moscow. They may not be doing a lot of damage, but they are surely rattling nerves.
