Beach day
Boys excited this morning, plans to go to the beach for the day.
Spent a fair time on Woolacombe beach, hubby and I remembering our children holidays there and tge boys loved the little Rick pools. Daddy helped them dig a big hole and the boys were back and forward collecting water in their buckets (which was absorbed into the sand …).
Phoebe a little young and still a bit poorly, but enjoying the sea breeze and vitamin D from the sun (limited today. Meet up at lunchtime for a meal in a pub then on to a play park where the boys used tokens for go-karting etc. They were so happy. Finished with an ice cream before leaving the car park.
As we were in three cars, arranged to met back at the accommodation. Hubby and I decided to take the coastal route back via Ilfracombe, stopping off. Fascinated by the huge statue - Verity - gifted to Devon by the sculpturer/artist Damian Hirst. It is amazing.
Back home (via more lovely coastal roads). After the children were settled to bed, relaxing evening watching a film - Mulan - good film.
