Stick with this.....

Himself and I usually take out main holiday in December, with a break in early summer (ie before school holidays) and sometimes, if we can, another in September. This year he's studying  and September didn't work so I thought let's do a short break somewhere (offshore) at the end of August.

Having gulped quite loudly at the prices we then changed plan and decided a couple of day in the UK was a better deal. We ummed and arr'd between two cities* and ended up in Bristol.

About two hours after booking the train tickets and hotel the RMT announced another day off strike so we had to quickly change our plans again and decided to go for just one night. It's only (supposed to be) two and a half hours away so not too bad.

In effect we went to Bristol for an amazing tapas dinner last night (I was way too tired and full to post yesterday) and a return visit to this pub to have the best Korean fried chicken I have even eaten for lunch today. 

Plus the added fun of a unicorn trail..

*It was the chicken that tipped the balance. In Bristol's favour.
