Finally.

Our pond, whose frogs have featured in many blips over the years, is somewhat overgrown. It is best done in autumn and only half of it should be done at a time so as not to disturb all the wildlife and critters. It has been in desperate need for the last three years but life has always got in the way including last year when we both got covid and clearing the pond was not on the agenda.

So we said we would do it this weekend come what may. The root systems were completely choking up the pond so there was a lot less water in it than there should have been. The shallows have been cleared and about a third of the total pond and whilst still a work in progress we have at least started. I have a feeling we will both ache a bit tomorrow.
