Sean Scully at Houghton
I had a lovely trip out to Houghton Hall today. I go most years as there's so much to photograph and they have an annual sculpture exhibition, this year by Sean Scully. The sculpture in my main is called Crate of Air. I took several hundred photos and have got them down to 100 odd so far, with only about 10 edited. I took photos of the sculptures, of flowers in the walled gardens, of my favourite installation called Waterflame (see Extra) and of the white fallow deer (see Extra). Entrance to the grounds and walled gardens is included in my Historic Houses annual membership, but I paid £10 to see the house and exhibition. It was a beautiful, warm sunny day, what a lovely way to spend it.
