Boats
I was in Sheringham first thing for a bit of shopping and to pick up my duvet after being cleaned. It's definitely a bit chilly in the mornings now and with a later sunrise time. I did a quick walk along the front, taking some photos of the boats. The bigger ship I think I've blipped before, it's the Cromarty Sentinel which is an offshore tug / supply ship built a couple of years ago. It was sunny in Sheringham, but it's been cloudy in Holt all day. I did a little bit of light cutting back later in the morning. This afternoon I enjoyed watching a couple of old films on BBC2, Passport to Pimlico and Jailhouse Rock (which I thought I'd seen before, but I hadn't). My arm is still sore after my jab, so I missed the volunteering on Spout Hills this morning.
I watched some more Paralympics at different times - I was stunned at how blind / visually impaired men can do a near 7m long jump or how anyone can race on a bike in a Velodrome with only one leg - how do they balance? I also enjoyed watching TeamGB win their exciting wheelchair basketball match. My mum spent a long time at Stoke Mandeville in 1976 / 7 undergoing rehabilitation following a spinal cord injury. Visiting her one day when the Stoke Mandeville Games were on, I went to watch the wheelchair basketball which was just amazing. It certainly changed my views and I'm a big supporter of the Paralympics.
