Post Bagel Pizza Break

I finally got a big deliverable into a coherent PR this afternoon. Not going to merge it till Tuesday though, I’ve been bitten too many times by merging code on a Friday. Mindy and I had independently promised meals out to the kids: bagels (me) and pizza(Mindy). They know how to work the system. Not sure if I ate a single veg today. Noah decided he wanted to play football his senior year and that has us going to games. I’ve never been into sports and barely know the rules, Mindy is constantly asking me questions about what the ref is waving about like I know. We must sound daft to the people in the bleachers around us. The band and dance team played at half time and they were very good. The whole thing made for excellent people watching but the visiting team routed us 0:31. Those kids kept playing hard even though they were losing. It made me think that physical sports is a very natural classroom for teaching resilience. Noah hasn’t been on the field yet but I’m glad he is participating.
