Sunday: Circular Graveyard

Being in an Airbnb is definitely much more relaxing so we had a nice leisurely start to the day, with coffee outside followed by breakfast.

We then walked to Charleston City Market, an eclectic mix of stalls (and pleasantly untouristy). From there, we strolled down to Rainbow Row, a street of wonderfully colourful houses. During our stroll, we also visited a number of graveyards dating back to the 1700s.

And then much excitement as every road trip necessitates a trip to the laundromat. Personally, I really enjoy them. Suffice to say, we’re all clean again!

While our washing was doing its thing we went to ‘Trader Joe’s’ and got in a whole load of stuff to be self-sufficient. Having eaten out for the last ten days we’re going a bit homestyle. Shopping was such an enjoyable experience as we saw so many things we just can’t get.

Tonight we ate in - the food item we were most excited over that we haven’t had for nearly a year? Garden peas! I could have eaten the whole packet
