Resting
S was in Organyà being interviewed this morning, and G and A set out on a more energetic hike than I was prepared to do, taking lunch with them. I went on an easy and pleasant local walk down the valley alongside the river. Normally this is a great butterfly-spotting opportunity, but it was so cool and damp I saw none until I found this tigermoth resting on the path, probably too damp to fly.
S got back at about two and we had a light lunch before planning a restful afternoon. We were a bit surprised when G and A weren't back by 5:30, but A WhatsApped to say they'd had an adventure, in a bad way, and they would be back at six. It turned out that while they were duly skirting round a flock of sheep in the approved way, one of the patous (herd protection dogs) charged up to them from a hundred metres away and without further ado bit A on the leg. Luckily she was wearing trousers, and it only grazed the skin, but she has an impressive bruise. She stumped away cursing sheep, bears, and dogs, and they had to climb back up and do a longer detour.
We'd booked to eat in the restaurant in the evening, after an apero with the bottle of cava S had brought back. Angels insisted on cleaning A's wound and slathering it with Betadine at the table, though we think chances of infection are slim. We had a nice meal and were all tired enough to go straight to bed afterwards.
