.....Oh, such a perfect day..........

And it was too....almost.

Up at 6.30......clear blue sky....bright sunshine.....coffee and nicotine on the patio.

Showered....dressed....out at 7.45 to see the boys.

Another BBQ planned.....another trip to the butchers....and two special items for dessert.

Lawn mowed......umbrella inserted in table......everything ready to go.

Charlotte and her parents arrived about 12.30 bearing beer!

An afternoon playing in the garden.

BBQ lit at 4.00......sausages
...burgers ....lamb kebabs....chicken legs....salt and pepper chicken kebabs....pork steaks.....minted potatoes....pasta......salad.

Strawberries and clotted cream ice cream for dessert!

More playing in the Sun......we had such a good time it carried on....we forgot we were due to be at a big party....we sent our apologies......the S&H and YH and Charlie went home.......we three continued out in the garden...it's dark now and we've just come in.

The only downside was a phone call from my sis....Dad has taken a fall.... a few cuts and bruises...maybe a broken arm....he's being kept in hospital overnight as a precaution. I couldn't drive over....too much alcohol. I'll phone in the morning and see how he is.....but everyone there seems to think he'll be o.k....he's a lot tougher than he looks.

This shot is of the Boss stealing a quiet moment in the tent we put up for Charlotte to play in....she's snuggling up to Charlie's eeyor toy...she says it's because she likes eeyor...I think it might be because she can smell Charlie on the toy.

The forecast is good for tomorrow.....no fishing for me....I'm having along lie in....and a restful afternoon in the Sun...and tomorrow evening the Boss and I are off to see Rod Stewart! Yay!
