Ogunquit to North Conway

Back blip for yesterday.

It was a much better day. We started bright and early with a walk down to Perkins Cove to see the ‘paintathon’: dozens of local artists had turned out for a day of plain-air art. It was steaming hot, even at 9am, and most had arranged themselves under the trees. Mostly people were painting fairly representational landscapes, which are not completely my scene, but there was some very competent work. Apparently the artists stop mid afternoon for a ‘wet’ (paint) sale of their work. We walked back along the Marginal Way to the apartment.

Our next stop was Kennebunkport and a visit to the Classic Car Museum. There were some amazing, rare vehicles on display and in absolutely pristine condition. Mr Flossmo had a happy browse (see extra).

We then wended our way to Conway through heavily wooded areas with the mountains starting to appear in the distance. Although forecast, the thunderstorms never did appear.
