Moon flower unfurling

My mom loved these flowers which she called moon flowers. They are better known as Jimsonweed or Datura. After spending years carefully cultivating several of them, I had to rip all but this one, which is behind a fence because they are so poisonous, especially to small people. It made me very sad, but safety for the baby comes first.

This was photographed with the "pop-art" setting on my new e-620 body. I like the effect.

Today, I am grateful for the day i was given, the ability to read, interesting books and sweet memories.
