The African Rift Valley

Heading west from Nairobi, back out to Maasai country and the Serengeti.  Today's blip is a view over the Rift Valley as we climbed west, out of Nairobi, the hill in the distance is an ancient volcano --- there is a number of them dotted along the eastern edge of the Serengeti and the Rift Valley. 

We had a good traditional meal, cooked by a local woman, for lunch and then stopped at Kisii for the night --- we cross the border in to Tanzania tomorrow and go to Lake Victoria.
