Boat trip

Woke to a stunning calm vista and really enjoyed the first walk of the day on the beach with Phin. He did too as he kept thundering past me on the sand.

Spotted a cruise ship heading up the channel to Mallaig and checked it out on Cruisemapper. It was a Fred Olsen ship bound for Stornaway. I was confused as it should have been to the west of Skye. However on checking later it was heading south again and is now sailing up the west coastline set of Skye, phew!

We decided to book tickets for a boat trip in the hopes of seeing some marine wildlife and as it was so nice, Phin and I walked up in to the village where Mr PHL met us in good time to check in and board the MV Sheereater. Many others had the same idea but we managed to get seats on the open (ish) deck. Phin behaved impeccably and slept part of the trip. We spotted several seals but all other marine life was proving elusive until we were heading back to harbour when we were surrounded by a small pod of dolphins. Magical.

After disembarking we took Phin for a runabout in Larachmohr community woodland. Much drier than when we visited in June.

Cooked a curry with homemade chapati’s (my tiny rolling pin cane in very handy) for dinner when we got back and before I knew it, time has matched on and it’s after 9.

All that sea air has tired me out (again) so no browsing for me again.
