Forest fungi

Another peaceful day down by the river although the day started considerably cooler than previous mornings during this holiday. We had to put the heating on in the camper van as it was so chilly. However, the day warmed up gradually once the sun came out during the morning.
While on one of our walks, Bertie and I came across this group of mushrooms along the forest track, each at a different stage of development.
Sadly, the fisherman didn’t catch anything and this was his last day of salmon fishing for this year. However, he really enjoyed this fishing beat which is new to him and we hope to return next year.
