Bertie
I never think of Bertie as an emergency blip but he helped me out this evening when I hadn’t taken a photograph during the day. This was mainly because I spent much of my day in the car! Well, that is a gross exaggeration, but it felt like it. I began with a return trip to Craignure to collect my organic veg order and then I had a couple of hours at home before I had to set off for a meeting in Salen, driving via Tobermory because of roadworks. I thought that my return home by the shorter route through Glen Bellart would be clear, based on information from one of the road layers, but two miles outside Dervaig I was stopped because the four lorries carrying fresh tarmac had arrived four hours later than expected. This meant that I had to retrace my steps and drive back through the glen then round via Tobermory once again, arriving home more than an hour later than I had expected.
