Seilebost beach...
Well today has gone by in a flash!
Over the next couple of days (in between golf for D and optician's appointments and making Millionaire's shortbread for Esme's birthday party for me :-) we are planning on a three way attack on three house spaces - the large cupboard in the ensuite of the smaller guest bedroom, the massive cupboard in the back hallway, and my little studio., so I spent the morning planning that.
Hopefully when it's all complete the many bags of clothes in the ensuite cupboard (and god knows what else!) will have been completely cleared out. The boxes of family photos, my crochet yarn stash, and some Christmas stuff will be moved from the hall cupboard to the ensuite cupboard, leaving the hall cupboard (which is opposite my studio) to store my many vases and all the over-flow from my studio (mainly frames and art materials only needed occasionally) which means my little studio will be less cluttered, with the things I need all the time near to hand.
Well that's the plan. I've noted all that above to see where we're at this time next week! :-))
This afternoon I had planned to get my online Tesco order done early (still not done!) but when I went to the studio to get Esme's birthday card to post, I couldn't help but finish painting my Harris beach scene.
I have really enjoyed painting this little scene from one of my photographs, mainly because of how much I love Harris, but also because I experimented a little and as a result, learned a lot. I also used artistic licence and moved the mainland and the Island of Taransay a little closer together. I am looking forward to painting more of the Harris landscapes in lots of different ways and using different materials. A great winter project :-)
Took the easy way out and had an Indian takeaway for dinner. Used the cooking time to get the golf widows three days of socialising sorted. It's worked out that out of the five days D is in Spain I will have two days to myself and three days with the other golf widows. Perfect :-)))
And now I really must get my online Tesco order done!
Been talking a lot recently about how quickly time passes. It's thirty-four years today since my wee grandpa died and I really can't believe it. He was such an important figure in my life from birth to giving me away at my wedding. I will adore him forever <3
