SINRISE AND SEA TRIP

#This morning we were up early and watched the sunrise, the beach lights go off and people gradually appearing on the beach.
We then went back to bed until breakfast.
As with all the food the breakfasts are amazing from cereals, fresh fruit, omelettes, yogurts, full English, pastures and 6 different curried. Today however I opted for a couple of boiled eggs.
#Then we went along to the surfing bar to watch them surf. What an effort swimming against the current to catch another wave only to repeat the exercise. It was exhausting watching:)))
#The gardeners work so hard here, keeping it all pristine. This time they were pruning the coconut trees. One prepped on especially for me. So kind.
# we spent most of the morning around the pool. This is The Rev in the pool with his camera trying to get a shot of the daily visit from the heron who likes to drink the pool water!!!
#mid afternoon we took a trip to another island to see how they live and have an opportunity to buy special souvenirs
Well what a waste of £90!!!! 10 min trip to a tatty old town with no sense of character or culture!!!
#The houses were quite modern and colourful…the shop (1shop) was full of tacky souvenirs which were probably made in Taiwan. Not even a cafe stop. Very disappointing.
#Crown moment on our only excursion!!!
#In the evening we had booked Maakana restaurant. The mid range one. It’s were we watched the surfing this morning. In this picture The Rev is taking the Mickey as I said…”oh great seats look we can seethe sea” it was a nice meal but were both agreed. Our restaurant is without doubt the best. They did have a good band and we had an iced coffee watching the crabs come onto the rocks avoiding the big waves
A day of wows and boos!!
