A floral melange

An unexpectedly sunny and breezy day. Himself went off hunter gathering, I ran through my talk then put one of the gunneras to bed - all leaves and stalks come off and are piled up on itself to protect it from winter chills,  A scratchy business but I get to use a sickle - very satisfying!
We had a great chat with Joe this morning - the excitement is building!
