Going in!

I had expected a peaceful walk at Charlestown this morning after surviving Tesco. Unfortunately there was a charity ‘banger race to Santa Fe’. A man on the microphone didn’t seem to realise that microphones amplify the voice so he really didn’t need to shout into it! The path along the harbour wall was full of cars. Lots were beeping and revving their engines. Never was there such an unsuitable place to start a rally from! And such an unsuitable day ! Saturday, when holiday makers are trying to escape  from Cornwall. These cars caused traffic chaos as they progressed slowly on the A390, one of the main routes out of Cornwall. Saturday being the busiest day! Luckily I was going in the opposite direction!

But the swimmer was on the quiet side, with no cars in sight. Another world.

The heavy rain and wind is back now.
